In addition to Grades, you will have the opportunity to view feedback comments, annotations, and rubrics for all graded work. These provide vital information to help you improve your work and pass the class. Your current total grade can be seen if your instructor has turned on this feature.

Heads Up: Uncheck the "calculate based only on graded assignments" checkbox (see screenshots below) to see an accurate, current grade. Otherwise, the displayed grade will only show your predicted grade based on work graded so far but may not account for missing, incomplete, or ungraded work.

Optional Learning Tasks

These optional learning tasks can help you succeed in Canvas.

Click on Grades in the Course Navigation bar for a class (or in a previous class if you still have access).
Skim the list of graded assignments.
Click on an assignment that has been graded.
- Read all feedback in comments, annotations on submitted files, and information provided on the rubric. If the assignment does not have feedback, review another assignment, discussion, or quiz as needed.
- In the comments box for a current class, type a brief message to ask a question about that graded work or thank your instructor for the feedback.
Check back later to see your instructor's reply to your comment in Grades.

TIP: You can change your Notifications to receive immediate emails when your work has been graded.
